Die traditionsreiche Wochenzeitschrift The New Yorker, eines der renommiertesten Magazine der Welt, berichtet in der aktuellen Ausgabe über Germany’s New Nationalists und liefert eine ausführliche Außensicht auf den Rechtsruck in Deutschland, die Rolle der AfD sowie ihrer Bundessprecherin Frauke Petry. Der Autor der Reportage, Thomas Meaney, hat auch mit mir gesprochen:
„Will the C.D.U. continue to be a moderate people’s party, representing broad sections of the population?“ Köditz said. „If so, then there is a gap to the right, which the AfD can easily occupy. Or will the AfD push the C.D.U. to the right? Then the C.D.U. might start losing votes in the middle but take them away from the AfD. And yet the closer the parties move together, the more likely the AfD is to form some part of the government. It will be only a matter of time.“
